Travel Tips 

You will need a visa. For Europeans this can be obtained in Amsterdam by mailing in your passport. The citizens from the following countries can obtain tourist cards at the airport in Suriname: Netherlands, Belgium, France, USA, Canada, UK, Germany. Acquiring a visa is not necessary for these foreign nationals.

You will need to check with your doctor which shots and other medicines are required to travel from your country to Suriname.
In Suriname you will have a limited use for credit cards, only hotels and certain other spots give this opportunity. With your ATM card however you can draw cash from our network of ATM's.

Because trips are done on a small scale to ensure privacy and quality, it is recommended to book in advance at one of our booking agents. Showing up in Suriname and trying to arrange tours at the last minute may deliver disappointing results if tour dates cannot be matched. Speaking from experience it is wise to book your trips in advance.
