A jewel in the Corantijn River. Arapahu Island welcomes visitors to beautiful and unspoiled westernmost Suriname. You will be awed by the magnificence of the Frederik Willem IV falls and the King George falls,  the beautiful rocks inscribed with ancient and mysterious petroglyphs, and the lush forest with trails. Peaceful and private, the comfortable accommodations and sounds of water rushing through the rapids will relax you in a way that is uniquely Arapahu.

We offer you, among other things, fishing in the pristine water (catch & release), a kaleidoscope of birdlife, adventurous boat trips in dug-out canoes on the river to view the undisturbed wildlife in the surrounding jungle.
